Le French Motor was established in 1986 at Woolloongabba by the present owners' Robert and Vicki Costantini. Robert is French and was trained and qualified as a "mécanicien" (motor mechanic) in France before immigrating to Australia in 1981. Robert has a Certificate of Recognition from The Department of Employment, Training and Industrial Relations as an Engineering Tradesperson (Mechanical) [Motor Mechanics]. Robert is registered by Queensland Transport to perform Safety Inspections and issue Safety Certificates.
In the early days, Robert worked for one of Brisbane's Peugeot dealers as a motor mechanic. After several years he decided to start his own business Le French Motor and has been in operation ever since. Le French Motor has trained and qualified several Australian apprentices and has also helped school based work experience students.
We have two fully qualified specialist French vehicle mechanics - Robert and Claude.
As part of our standard procedure, customers' vehicle servicing and vehicle repair histories are maintained on computer and any issues found during the normal checks are discussed with clients and notations made within the database for future reference. Any serious safety problems found will be discussed with the owner and repaired as a matter of urgency.
Le French Motor's professionalism ensures that the work is performed to the highest standard and interaction with customers is considerate and respectful at all times.
